in memory of...

Today is Gandhi's birthday. If Gandhi were alive today, he would be 140 years old. I found this and wanted to share. It's a quote from Gandhi and was found by a blogger traveling through India. It can be found here.

unique finds

I love window shopping and browsing the Internet for creative, mostly silly, gifts for friends and family. Even if I never actually purchase them, it's fun to send a link of the funky gift to a friend and receive that "I had no idea that existed" response. It's usually the quirky, inane and completely random "what is this" gift that I treasure and hold on to forever. Here are a few things that I had to share...image via google images

I think I would die laughing if I saw this in someone's house. It's The Bearded Lady play set on a plastic stage showing off the goods. You can also purchase The World's Tallest Man and The World's Shortest Man, Frog Girl and Lobster Boy, and Strong Man play sets. buy here

Oh the magic bean. A perfect way to tell someone exactly how you're feeling. You choose the message and the bean magically grows and eventually appears displaying the message. This would be cute to put on your desk at work. buy here

Know someone that has been to a ton of concerts, sports games or Broadway plays and clings on to those ticket stubs? The Ticket Stub Diary organizes and neatly displays every single memory in one place. There's also room to jot down notes from the event. This is a great idea I wish I'd thought of... buy here

Rad. I always get a little queasy when I see actual heads of animals mounted on a wall. You can have your very own deer, moose or even rhino cardboard bust in your own home. These busts can be decorated with markers and glitter and come with detailed instructions. It's made from 100% recycled cardboard, way to be green! buy here

more coming soon!
